Dear Eighth Grade Parents and Guardians:

We will be hosting a newly formatted ninth grade transition meeting on Wednesday, March 12, from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Hazen Union cafeteria. We are combining the course registration process with the orientation. To ensure a smooth registration process, please plan to bring your child with you. It is imperative to return the course registration form with both parent and student signatures. This is an important transitional time in your student’s education; consequently, parental attendance is strongly suggested.

The agenda will address:

v Completing the registration form accurately, while choosing 9^th grade classes

v Meeting all 9th grade teachers and seeing displays of subjects taught

v Learning about the requirements for graduation

v Beginning to create a four year plan with your child

Please plan to attend so that you and your child may discuss course choices for next year. If you are unable to attend and know in advance, please contact the Guidance Office to receive a registration form and a Hazen Union Program of Studies.
