| Facts: In this time period the embryo goes through many changes. Many things can be determined too. The embryo has is already forming it's liver, intestines, and it's heart. That means that the embryo has already developed its senses. That is a lot of growth is 2-4 weeks. The embryo has grown so much that the gender can be found out. The embryo has to plant itself to the uterus in this time period. The embryo can float up to 2 days without planting itself to the uterus. While the embryo is growing, the mother changes too. The mother will stop her menstrual cycle because of the hormones that the embryo produced. All these changes will make it so the fetus will be fully developed. | I found my facts here, The First Trimester. 2006 Westside Pregnancy Resource Center. Feb. 20, 2007. | Test for Mother: The mother gets Ultrasound at this time period. Ultrasound is a diagnostic technique, which uses high-frequency sound waves to create an image of the internal organs. The Ultrasound helps out in many ways. It tells the mother how many fetuses she will have. It will also tell her when she will have a due date. A due date will give the mother an idea date of when she will have her fetus. With the Ultrasound you can tell where the embryo is in your body and how it is doing. The Ultrasound checks to see where the embryo is growing. It also checks on if the embryo is deformed or is healthy. Ultrasound is a very safe way to find out how your embryo is doing. It helps in many ways and it is always good to know if something is wrong early and if everything is everything is working well on your pregnancy. |
