Happy Spring to One and All: Spring is finally here and long overdue! It’s great to see the wildlife again and to hear the birds singing. Indeed, it was a very long winter! With six snow days to “make-up,” our last day will now be June 18. Graduation for the seniors will be Saturday, June 14 and the eighth grade graduation will be Monday, June 16. This year, several Hazen Union faculty and staff members have decided to retire. Dale Pritchard, teacher of social studies and department chairperson, will be leaving Hazen after 37 years of service. Mrs. Pritchard did her student teaching at Hazen! Helen Willey, teacher of French and Latin, will be leaving after 27 years of service to the community. Marlene Clark, administrative assistant to the Principal, will be leaving after 37 years of service. Combined, their total service is over 100 years! We wish them health and prosperity as they enter into a new world of retirement! |
